Before Your Appointment
- Avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) for 3–5 days before injectable procedures
- Stop using retinol and exfoliating acids 3–5 days before laser or peel treatments
- Avoid alcohol for 24–48 hours before treatment to reduce bruising risk
- Stay hydrated — drink plenty of water the day before and morning of your appointment
- Arrive with clean skin — no makeup, sunscreen, or skincare products on the treatment area
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that provides easy access to the treatment area
Day of the Procedure
On the day of your procedure, eat a light meal beforehand (unless advised otherwise). Arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete any remaining paperwork. Bring a list of medications and supplements you are taking. For injectable treatments, a cold compress may be applied before treatment for comfort. For laser and BBL treatments, protective eyewear will be provided. For body treatments like Endospheres or ICOONE, you may be asked to change into a robe.
After the Procedure
- Follow the specific post-care instructions provided by your doctor
- Apply sunscreen SPF 50+ daily for at least 2 weeks after laser, BBL, or peel treatments
- Avoid active exercise, sauna, steam room, and swimming for 24–48 hours
- Do not touch, pick, or scratch the treated area — let healing happen naturally
- Use gentle, fragrance-free skincare products for 3–5 days post-treatment
- Avoid alcohol and blood thinners for 24 hours after injectable treatments
What to Avoid
Regardless of the procedure type, certain activities should be avoided to ensure optimal results: direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 2 weeks; hot showers, saunas, and steam rooms for 48 hours; facial massage or aggressive cleansing for 1 week after injectables; active sports and heavy lifting for 24 hours. Always consult with your doctor for procedure-specific restrictions.
When to Call the Doctor
While complications are rare, contact the clinic immediately if you experience: severe or worsening pain, signs of infection (fever, redness spreading beyond the treated area, pus), unusual swelling that does not subside, allergic reaction symptoms, or if you have any concerns about the healing process. The clinic is available by phone and WhatsApp during working hours.
