Mechanism of Action
Injection lipolysis uses sodium deoxycholate (SDC), a bile salt that emulsifies dietary fat. When injected into adipose tissue, SDC disrupts the cell membrane of adipocytes (fat cells), causing their contents to be released and metabolized by the body's lymphatic system. The destroyed fat cells are permanently eliminated — they do not regenerate. The process of fat elimination continues for 4–8 weeks after each session, with visible reduction in fat pocket size.
