Collagen Stimulators (Sculptra, Radiesse)
Preparations that stimulate your own collagen production. Create a scaffolding effect and gradual rejuvenation that builds over months.
Mechanism of Action
Collagen stimulators work through a biostimulatory mechanism. Poly-L-lactic acid (Sculptra) and calcium hydroxylapatite (Radiesse) microspheres are injected into the deep dermis or supraperiosteal plane. These microspheres act as a scaffold, attracting fibroblasts and stimulating them to produce new collagen type I and III. The result is gradual, natural-looking volume restoration that builds over 2–3 months and lasts up to 2 years.
